Terms of Service

Terms of Service

Last updated: 6 November 2026

By using 9jaBiz and its 9jaHire marketplace you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. Who can use 9jaBiz

  • You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement under Nigerian law.
  • One person, one account. Creating duplicate or fake accounts is not allowed.
  • You are responsible for the information you post and for keeping your account secure.

2. 9jaHire peer-to-peer jobs

  • 9jaHire connects clients and service providers directly. 9jaBiz is not an employer, agent or party to any job agreement.
  • Before you can post a job or accept one, you must verify your identity with your Nigerian NIN and a live selfie.
  • Describe jobs honestly, including the real scope, location and budget. Providers must only accept jobs they are qualified to do.
  • Payment, timing and quality of work are agreed between the client and provider. Disputes should first be resolved between both parties.
  • Mark work done and confirm completion truthfully. Reviews must reflect real experiences.
  • Prohibited: illegal services, harassment, discrimination, fraud, requests for advance fees outside agreed terms, and misuse of another person's contact details or location.

3. Safety guidelines

  • Meet in safe, well-lit places where possible, and tell someone you trust where you are going.
  • Check the green shield beside a name — it means the person has verified their NIN.
  • Live location is only shared with your matched partner during an active job. Stop sharing when the job ends.
  • Never share bank PINs, OTPs or passwords. 9jaBiz will never ask for them.
  • Report suspicious behaviour to us. In an emergency, call 112.

4. Points policy

  • Points are earned by activities such as signing up, watching posts and verifying your NIN (+10 points, once per person).
  • Points are spent to boost posts, post jobs and accept jobs on 9jaHire. Points may also be bought with Naira.
  • Points have no cash value, cannot be withdrawn or transferred, and are not legal tender.
  • Points gained through fraud, duplicate accounts or abuse may be removed, and the account suspended.
  • Purchased points are non-refundable except where required by law or where a charge failed.

5. Identity verification

Verification uses automated AI checks of your ID document and selfie. A failed check does not mean we think you are dishonest; you may try again with clearer photos. How we handle your data is explained in our Privacy Policy.

6. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, endanger other users or the platform. You may stop using the service at any time.

7. Liability

The service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, 9jaBiz is not liable for the conduct of users or for the outcome of jobs arranged between them.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. We may update these terms and will show the new date above.
